Two freshman stood out today at the 2016 Nike “The Opening” Cathedral Catholic’s Shawn Poma, and Madison’s Kenan Christon turned heads. Freshman ain’t supposed to put up scores like they did.
Kenan is a runningback for Madison HS, according to the Madison coaches he will start at DB for the Warhawks in the fall. Kenan will also be the backup RB to Erick “BUCKNASTY” Buchanon (#4 on the MBA Sports Recruiting List). He star is shining bright, and we look forward to seeing what he can do under HC Rick Jackson. His Nike Sparq score is legit. Not many Seniors get a score of 82, let alone FRESHMAN in High school. This kid is #D1Bound we look for him to land between 8-12 D1 offers before its all said and done. Poma fist came on the scene with a series of videos on Instagram that made him an internet sensationalist overnight. He played on the Freshman team last season, but there is no doubt the DONS coaching staff will promote him to Varsity next season. It’s not clear whether he will play offense of defense. He played LB / RB / KR and PR last year. But today he earned the TOP SCORE at the 2016 Nike “The Opening” and got an automatic bid to come back tomorrow to compete in the Nike Elite Series with a shot at getting to “The Opening” Be sure to follow Shawn on Twitter at: @ Check out his website at: shawnpoma.com Good luck tomorrow Shawn, we rooting for you to get and invite to ’16 “The Opening” and represent San Diego well.
